When important exams such as the GCSE or A-level are coming up; or if your children need a grade to a subject to improve their needs; or simply if you can see that your children are not able to reach their maximum potential, but they may have a little personal help from a trained professional, then the first option that comes to mind is often a tutorial. But do private tutors really help children get more? Will a tutor for your child really improve the child's grades? The short answer is yes. A survey conducted in 2005 by the University of London has shown that children - especially boys - do benefit from having a private tutor. Marks went up as much as three-quarters of a grade.
